Funding

There are a few different types of funding that your child may be eligible for, including 15 hours free childcare for two year olds and 15 or 30 hours free childcare for three and four year olds.

Please contact us or enquire in Pre-School if you are not sure if your child is entitled to funding.

 

Two Year Old Funding

 

Eligible 2 year olds can claim 15 hours of free early years education at Brockholes Pre-School during school term time from the term after their 2nd Birthday.

 

You can claim a free 2 year old place for your child if you receive one or more of the following:

 

  • Income Support

  • Income Based Jobseekers Allowance

  • Income related employment and support allowance

  • Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

  • The guarantee element of State Pension Credit

  • Child Tax Credit, provided you are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and your annual household income is less than £16,191 (as assessed by HM Revenue & Customs.

 

You must apply directly to Kirklees to claim funding for a 2 year old. More information can be found on the Kirklees website.

 

3 Year Old Funding

All 3 and 4 year old children are entitled to 15 hours of free early years education at Brockholes Pre-School during school term time from the term after their 3rd birthday.

 

Early Years Pupil Premium

The early years pupil premium (EYPP) is additional funding for early years settings to improve the education they provide for disadvantaged 3 and 4-year-olds.

 

3 and 4 year olds in state-funded education will be eligible if their family recieves any of the following:

 

  • Income Support

  • Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance

  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance

  • Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

  • The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit

  • Child Tax Credit (provided they’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)

  • Working Tax Credit run-on, which is paid for 4 weeks after they stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit

  • Universal Credit

  • They have been in local-authority care for 1 day or more in England or Wales

  • They have been adopted from care in England or Wales

  • They have left care under a special guardianship order or residence order in England or Wales
